Call for Application of English Presentation Award

Call for Application of English Presentation Award of the 132nd Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Animal Science

The 132nd Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Animal Science (Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine) will receive oral presentations which will be performed in English in both Excellent Presentation Award and general sessions. This award aims to enhance the dissemination of information on animal science in Japan. As a presenter (speaker), chairperson, or audience members, we would like your cooperation with these oral presentations in English. Please follow the guidelines below to apply.

Application Guidelines

1． Eligibility
1) Excellent Presentation Award session: Only student members or regular members 30 years old or less as of the end of February 2025 and who is the first author and presenter (speaker) for the submitted abstract are eligible to apply.

2) General session: Either regular or student member and who is the first author and presenter (speaker) is able to submit an abstract.

3) Both 1) and 2) are limited to members whose native language is not English (regardless of the applicant's nationality).

2． Application Procedure

Please choose "English" as the language on the abstract submission site (https://jsas.confit.atlas.jp/login). The title, authors' names, affiliations, and abstract should be prepared in English. An applicant for Excellent Presentation Award requires additional application documents. Please also check in the site "Call for Application for Excellent Presentation Award of the 132nd Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Animal Science."

3． Review Procedure

The English Presentation Award Selection Committee will review whether the presentation meets the following criteria and will award an English Presentation Award.

  1. The abstract is written in proper English.
  2. Most of the oral presentation, including presentation slides, is done in English.
  3. Most of the discussion is conducted in English.
  4. The presentation time is generally kept on time.

4．Notes
Please read the following notes before applying.

  1. Only one presentation per person is allowed. We will not accept duplicate presentations in Japanese.
  2. The content of the presentation must be new and unpublished.
  3. The presentation time is the same as that for other Excellent Presentation Award or general session.
